The Oakfield Parkonians Cricket Club fields five teams in the Shepherd Neame Essex League on Saturdays throughout the summer, a Sunday XI playing friendly fixtures, as well as junior teams in County & District Colts’ competitions, from U11 up to U19.  Adult & junior teams compete in winter indoor leagues.

– The Club has well over 200 members: men and women – a family club.

– The juniors’ section has 70 developing players from 8 years old and upwards whose professional coaching is funded by commercial partners and advertisers.

– Starting in 2017, the Club hosts All Stars Cricket, for 5-8 year old girls & boys, and is working to establish links with local schools.

The Old Parkonians Cricket Club changed its name to Oakfield Parkonians CC in February 2014.  For more on the new name for the Club, click here.


As a “Clubmark” club, OPCC are involved in attracting, encouraging and developing local youngsters in sport.

Clubmark is a pioneering accreditation scheme by Sport England. It is awarded for high quality community work and is given only to clubs that show they prioritise youth development through:

– care and safeguard of our young members;

– a structured Development Programme (coaching, training and competition);

– a welcome for everyone in the Community; and

– a high standard of Club Management.
